Community Lunch and Learn: Medicaid in South Carolina

South Carolina is one of ten states that has not expanded Medicaid as was provided for in the Affordable Care Act and further incentivized by the American Rescue Plan Act. In the time since SC’s leaders chose not to expand Medicaid, we’ve learned a great deal about what has happened with health and the budgets of states that did and didn’t expand. This session featuring two of our state’s leaders on the topic of Medicaid, Christian Soura and Teresa Arnold, who will cover the background and data on Medicaid as well as the current policy environment for considering the health, budget, and business implications of Medicaid expansion.
